Steven Hogevold BSc (Hons) MRICS
Managing Director
Steve graduated from the University of Brighton in 1997, having gained an HND in Architectural Technology and Degree in Building Surveying. He obtained Chartered status in 1998 and began working towards his goal of setting up his own company, which he did six years later.
He started his career at NatWest Bank and has built up a broad range of experience whilst working at some of the leading property and engineering consultancies in the UK. In these roles Steve worked autonomously providing professional advice and services to a wide range of clients in a variety of business sectors.
As Managing Director of Morse Consultants, Steve takes a hands-on role in running the business whilst dealing personally with many of the company's clients. He has particular expertise in project management, property management and dilapidations.
Steve has a young family but still manages to find time to play golf, go shooting and to follow his beloved football team, Newcastle United. He is a keen skier, loves military history and enjoys spending weekends walking with his Lurcher Harry!
Jonathan Hemsley
Senior Building Surveyor
Jonathan began his career at Norwich Union Insurance, he completed a HNC in Building Studies whilst working and moved onto a part-time degree in Building Surveying, which he completed in 2001 whilst working at Parsons Brinckerhoff. It was at Parsons Brinckerhoff that he first crossed career paths with Steve Hogevold, which lead him to join Morse in 2004. Jonathan then decided to spread his wings with a larger organisation 'Madlin & Maddison' leaving Morse in 2007. He has recently re-joined Morse and brings with him expertise in project management and professional work.
Outside of work Jonathan enjoys time with his family and has an eclectic taste in music, often attending gigs, which vary from 'Bellowhead' to 'Train'. Jonathan is also a keen tower bell ringer.
Victoria Mason
Business Support Manager
Vicky graduated from the University of Southampton in 1997 with a degree in Politics & History. Joining Hays Plc in 1999 she worked solely in the Construction division predominantly within surveying recruitment. Having worked with Steve Hogevold previously in her role at Hays, Vicky was very pleased to join Morse as Business Support Manager in October 2012. The role involves the day-to-day running of the office, business development, marketing, accounts and administration.
Having two young children takes up most of her spare time but when she does get some time to herself she enjoys Pilates and trying out new curry recipes.
Laura Hogevold
Marketing Director
Laura worked in publishing for several years before becoming a reporter for Construction Manager Magazine, the CIOB's monthly periodical for members. She went on to become assistant editor, and then moved to web publishing working as a staff writer for an online IT Trade publication.
Laura assisted with setting up Morse Consultants and has been responsible for building the strong brand Morse Consultants now sports on all its marketing literature - both printed and online. She was instrumental in developing the current Morse Consultants website and ensures it is kept up to date with all the latest company news and information.
As well as working for Morse, Laura has run her own business since 2001 working as a PR and marketing consultant for a wide variety of companies and organisations.
In her spare time Laura enjoys dog walking, reading and looking after her young family!
Harry
Dog
Harry is a rescue Lurcher who has been with the Hogevold family since 2003. He had two previous owners who treated him very badly, so has had to overcome a number of issues over the past 8 years through training and personal development. He is an important member of the Morse team, providing fitness and nutrition advice as well as site security for the office, but due to his age he now works part-time. During the winter he takes on the role of senior foot-warmer and can often be found curled up under Steve's desk!
